We believe that students learn and perform better academically when they are exposed to more than the written word. Therefore, PCCA is committed to choral music, band, and piano.

Students in Grades K-8 attend choral music two days per week with Mrs. Rachael Mickel who has taught music at PCCA for the past several years. She uses a comprehensive curriculum in which students are introduced to the concepts and experiences of music through various singing, playing, listening, moving, reading, writing, and composing activities. Students also present musical productions at Christmas and during the spring.

Mrs. LaDene Galimba is a well sought after private piano teacher in Salinas and offers private piano lessons during the school day at PCCA. Students whose parents choose to contract with Mrs. Galimba are allowed to leave the classroom during the school day for one 30-minute lesson per week.
